2009’s Finest Mountain Snowmobiles

Summer may still be hanging in the air, but for hardcore winter sports and snowmobile tournament enthusiasts , you just have to know what are the best snowmobile models out there that can leave the competition in the dust and snowflakes. This list of the best snowmobiles designed for mountain events will give you all the information you need. Read on to know more.

Created for mountain events, the 2009 Arctic Cat M8 EFI 153 LE sports a great design and flashy exteriors. But underneath its glossy shell, you have a new rear suspension that is eight pounds lighter than the earlier models. Such feature really gives this snow vehicle a boost.

Aside from that, the 2009 Arctic Cat M8 EFI 153 LE also has an adjustable ski stance, running boards and removable side panels that make blitzing through the ice and snow a really great experience. However, this ride is not cheap. You have to prepare to shell out more than $10,000 to get your hands on this one.

Worth looking at for 2009 is the new 2009 Yamaha FX Nytro MTX. Built for mountain sports dominance, this machine treats its riders to a really cool ride coupled with promising comfort. A gem among mountain snowmobiles, this model simply rocks.

The new 2009 Yamaha FX Nytro MTX parades a 4-stroke engine coupled with three cylinders, and a fuel injections system to ensure optimum mountain performance. Also, you get other cool features such as the electric start button and the standard heated hand grips. Exterior design is also well thought. Price is not so friendly, as this model carries an $11,000 price tag.

The 2009 Polaris RMK 800 Dragon is designed to rule the mountain snowmobile scene. From the looks alone, this model can simply top any snowmobile list for 2009’s finest snow mobiles. It features multi-adjustable ski stance and standard heating grips for sustained body heat on bone-chilling rides. Still, there are some flaws found in this cool model.

A starter pull maybe the standard for most snowmobiles, but an electric start would have made it better. There is also the issue in engine. While other models boast of systems with 3-4 cylinders and 4 strokes, the 2009 Polaris RMK 800 Dragon only flaunts a 2 stroke engine with 2 cylinders. Priced around $11,000, this snowmobile is still a great deal.
